Viril Edge Advanced Formula — Six Botanicals, 838 mg, and One That Needs a Conversation

Viril Edge is a 60-capsule men's vitality supplement. Its entire formula is a single 838 mg Male Support Blend of six botanicals — tribulus, horny goat weed, longjack, Panax ginseng, ashwagandha and yohimbe — with no individual amounts published. This page transcribes the panel, does the arithmetic, and gives the yohimbe question the section it deserves.

  • 60 capsules · serving size 2 capsules · 30 servings per bottle
  • 838 mg across six botanicals — an average of about 140 mg each
  • Contains yohimbe: check with a clinician before taking it, not after
  • Take 2 capsules daily between meals, per the label's own suggested use

Good Manufacturing Practice certified mark Manufactured in the USA mark Genetically modified organism free mark 100% natural ingredients mark Registered FDA facility mark as supplied by the manufacturer Money-back satisfaction seal as supplied by the manufacturer

Badges as supplied by the manufacturer. "FDA registered facility" describes the premises, not the product — the FDA does not approve dietary supplements before sale. "GMP certified" describes how a facility operates. None of these marks is a statement about whether the formula works, and none of them is a safety clearance for any individual ingredient.

Quick Answer: What Is Viril Edge and What Is Actually in It?

Viril Edge is a capsule supplement, sixty to a bottle, taken two a day between meals. The whole formula is one 838 mg "Male Support Blend" holding six botanicals in this order: tribulus terrestris, horny goat weed, longjack, Panax ginseng, ashwagandha and yohimbe. Only the total is disclosed. Divided evenly that is roughly 140 mg each — below the doses used in the trials for ginseng, longjack and ashwagandha, which are the three ingredients here with the most respectable human evidence. The blend is listed in descending order by weight, which is the one piece of per-ingredient information you get, and it puts tribulus — the ingredient with the weakest evidence — first, and yohimbe last.

  • Best evidence in the bottle: ashwagandha on perceived stress and cortisol, then Panax ginseng on fatigue, then longjack.
  • Weakest: tribulus, which repeatedly fails to raise testosterone in healthy men, and horny goat weed, whose PDE5 story is almost entirely preclinical.
  • The one that changes the risk profile: yohimbe. Small share, real pharmacology, undisclosed amount. See below before you buy.
How We Cover This Product

Six Things This Page Does Differently

Men's vitality is the category where affiliate writing is at its worst. Here is the standard this page holds itself to.

The panel, transcribed from two photos

Neither of the manufacturer's product shots shows the whole Supplement Facts panel unobstructed. We assembled it from both, checked the fragments against each other, and say so rather than presenting a clean list as if it had been handed to us.

Yohimbe gets a section

Not a footnote and not a bullet. It is the ingredient in this bottle with a genuine adverse-event literature, and burying it under "natural botanical blend" is how people get hurt.

The blend arithmetic

838 mg across six botanicals averages about 140 mg each — below the trial doses for ginseng, longjack and ashwagandha. That subtraction is on the page, not implied.

The comparison graphic, audited

The manufacturer's own chart claims "Organic", "Vegan" and "3rd Party Tested" against unnamed "other brands". We check each of those three against what is actually published.

The price, dated, with no fake discount

We opened the listing and printed what it charged on 9 August 2026. There is no struck-through figure and no "you save" here, because the seller publishes no former price — and a discount off an unknown number is not a discount.

No invented reviews

The listing carries eBay feedback, but it rates the seller's shipping and service, and the entries shown against this item are for other products entirely. So there is no reviews section, no star ratings and no rating markup in the structured data.

About Viril Edge

What Is Viril Edge, and What Does the Front Label Claim?

Almost nothing, and that is genuinely unusual. A matte black bottle with two azure bands, a small MJO capsule mark, then VIRIL EDGE, then ADVANCED FORMULA. Under that sit three white tiles carrying icons — a flame, the male symbol, a lightning bolt — and at the base, 60 CAPSULES · Dietary Supplement.

There is no written claim on the front of this bottle at all. No "supports stamina", no "promotes healthy testosterone", nothing with an asterisk pointing at the FDA disclaimer. The claims are entirely pictographic, and a picture of a flame is not a structure/function claim — which is a tidy way of implying a great deal while stating none of it.

The back is where the information lives: the suggested use, a full caution panel, the FDA disclaimer, three seals, and the Supplement Facts panel with the 838 mg blend. On this product the back label is considerably more honest than the front.

Viril Edge Supplement Facts

The 838 mg Male Support Blend, Transcribed

Assembled from two of the manufacturer's own product photographs, because neither shows the whole panel unobstructed. The readable fragments agree line for line.

What the order tells you. US labelling rules require blend components to be listed in descending order of predominance by weight. So tribulus — the ingredient with the weakest evidence in the whole formula — is the largest share of the 838 mg, and ashwagandha, which has the strongest, is fifth of six. Yohimbe is last, and last is the good news about yohimbe. None of this gives you a number, but the ranking is real information and it is free.

Ingredient by ingredient

Tribulus terrestris · amount not disclosed

Tribulus Extract

The oldest name in this category and the weakest evidence in the blend. Tribulus does not raise testosterone in healthy men — that has been tested repeatedly and the trials are consistently null. Where it has shown anything it is on self-reported desire, in small studies, mostly in women or in men with a specific complaint. It is here because buyers recognise it.

Epimedium sagittatum · amount not disclosed

Horny Goat Weed Extract

Contains icariin, a compound with genuine PDE5-inhibiting activity in the laboratory — the same enzyme family that prescription drugs target, at a tiny fraction of the potency. Almost all of that work is preclinical. Treat the mechanism as plausible and the human evidence as largely absent.

Eurycoma longifolia · amount not disclosed

Longjack Extract

Also sold as tongkat ali, and the ingredient here with the most interesting human data: small randomised trials report effects on fatigue, stress markers and, in some, free testosterone in men who were stressed or older. Doses in those trials are typically 200–400 mg of a standardised extract per day.

Panax ginseng · amount not disclosed

Ginseng Root Extract

The best-established adaptogen in the list, with a reasonable literature on fatigue and subjective wellbeing, generally at 200–400 mg a day of a standardised extract. It also interacts with warfarin and can affect blood glucose, which is worth knowing.

Withania somnifera · amount not disclosed

Ashwagandha Extract

The best-evidenced ingredient here full stop, with repeated human data on perceived stress and cortisol at 300–600 mg a day of a root extract. That matters in this category because chronic stress is one of the clearest drags on drive. Note the reported cases of liver injury associated with some ashwagandha products, and the thyroid interaction.

Pausinystalia yohimbe · amount not disclosed

Yohimbe Extract

The one that changes how this bottle should be handled. Yohimbe bark contains yohimbine, an alpha-2 adrenergic antagonist with real cardiovascular and psychiatric effects — not a gentle botanical. It is listed last, which under the descending-order rule makes it the smallest component; the amount is still not disclosed. It has its own section on this page.

The Ingredient That Needs Its Own Section

Yohimbe: What It Is, and Why It Is Not Just Another Botanical

If you read one part of this page before ordering, read this one. Nothing here is a reason to panic — it is a reason to have a two-minute conversation with a pharmacist first.

What it actually is

Yohimbe is the bark of Pausinystalia yohimbe, a West African tree. Its active alkaloid, yohimbine, is an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor antagonist — a real pharmacological action, in the same broad territory as prescription cardiovascular drugs. Purified yohimbine has been a prescription medicine in some countries. This is not a mild botanical like the other five names on the panel, and grouping it with them under "natural blend" flattens a genuine difference.

What it can do to you

Documented effects include raised blood pressure, a fast or irregular heartbeat, anxiety and agitation, headache, sweating and gastrointestinal upset. At higher intakes the reported picture gets worse — severe hypertension, arrhythmia and seizures appear in the adverse-event literature, and poison-centre data on yohimbine-containing products is not reassuring. Dose matters enormously, and dose is exactly what this label does not give.

The label-accuracy problem

This is the part that is specific to yohimbe rather than to supplements generally. Published analyses of yohimbe products sold in the US have repeatedly found the actual yohimbine content bearing little relation to what the label says — some products with a small fraction of the stated amount, others with far more. When a product does not state an amount at all, that variability cannot even be checked.

Who should not take it

Anyone with high blood pressure, heart disease or an arrhythmia. Anyone with an anxiety or panic disorder, or a history of psychiatric illness. Anyone with kidney or liver disease. Anyone taking an MAOI, a tricyclic antidepressant, a stimulant, or blood-pressure medication. Anyone under 18. And anyone who has been told to avoid stimulants before an operation.

The balanced verdict. Yohimbe is listed sixth of six, which under the descending-order rule makes it the smallest component of an 838 mg blend — so the amount per serving is likely to be modest. "Likely to be modest" is not the same as "known to be safe for you", and the honest position is that neither we nor you can calculate it. Several countries restrict or prohibit the sale of yohimbine-containing supplements precisely because of this combination of real pharmacology and unreliable labelling. Take the bottle to a pharmacist, tell them what else you take, and let them read the panel.

How Viril Edge Is Supposed to Work

Three Mechanisms, Stacked in One Capsule

This formula is not built around one idea. It is three different categories of ingredient sharing a bottle, which is worth understanding before judging it.

1

Adaptogens

Ashwagandha and Panax ginseng, the two ingredients with the most human data. Their studied effects are on perceived stress, cortisol and fatigue — not on hormones directly. That matters, because chronic stress and poor sleep are among the clearest and most reversible drags on drive in men, and this is the part of the formula with a defensible rationale.

2

Traditional botanicals

Tribulus and horny goat weed, both long-standing category staples with thin human evidence. Tribulus does not raise testosterone in healthy men in controlled trials. Icariin from epimedium has PDE5 activity in the laboratory at potencies far below prescription drugs. They are here largely because buyers expect to see them.

3

A stimulant alkaloid

Yohimbe is doing something categorically different from the other five: blocking alpha-2 adrenergic receptors, which raises noradrenergic tone. That is why it produces jitteriness and blood pressure effects, and why it does not belong in the same mental bucket as an adaptogenic root.

The honest bottom line on efficacy. No trial has tested this blend, at this dose, for any outcome. The ingredient-level evidence ranges from reasonable (ashwagandha, ginseng) to null (tribulus), and the blend total puts most of them below their studied doses. If it helps you, the most probable route is the stress-and-fatigue one, over weeks rather than days.

Claim Audit

The Manufacturer's Own Comparison Chart, Checked

The vendor publishes a chart setting Viril Edge against unnamed "other brands". Comparison charts written by one of the parties are marketing, but the claims in them are still claims — so here they are, one at a time.

The manufacturer's comparison chart claiming high quality, US manufacture, third party testing, vegan and organic status, and 60, 120, 180 and 300 capsule package options
Reproduced from the manufacturer's own product imagery. "Other brands" is not defined anywhere.

"3rd Party Tested"

Plausible and unverifiable as published. The claim names no laboratory, no test scope and no batch, and no certificate of analysis is available. For a product containing yohimbe, an identity-and-potency certificate would be the single most valuable document the manufacturer could publish — and it is exactly the document that is missing.

"Organic"

This one is checkable and it does not check out. In the US, "organic" on a supplement is a USDA regulated term requiring certification, and a certified product carries the USDA Organic seal and its certifier's name. Neither appears on the bottle or in the product imagery. A tick in a marketing table is not certification.

"Vegan"

Consistent with the label. The inactive ingredients — silica dioxide, rice flour and magnesium stearate — are mineral and plant derived, and the six actives are botanical. The capsule shell material is not stated anywhere, which is the one gap: gelatin capsules are animal derived and vegetarian capsules are not.

The chart also lists 60, 120, 180 and 300 capsule package options. We have not been able to verify current availability or pricing for any of them — see below.

Directions and Cautions

How to Take Viril Edge — Straight From the Label

The back panel is fully legible in the manufacturer's photography, so this section is quotation rather than interpretation.

  1. Two capsules daily, between meals

The suggested use reads: "As a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules daily between meals, or as directed by your healthcare provider." Sixty capsules at two a day is thirty servings — one month per bottle.

  2. Do not exceed the dose

The caution panel says so explicitly, and with yohimbe in the formula that instruction carries more weight than the boilerplate it looks like. Doubling up on a stimulant alkaloid whose amount is undisclosed is the specific way this product could hurt someone.

  3. Use it within 60 days of opening

"For best results, consume within 60 days of opening bottle." A 60-capsule bottle at two a day takes exactly 30 days, so following the directions keeps you well inside that window. It is worth noticing if you were planning to take it occasionally rather than daily.

  4. Adult use only

The label states adult use only, and that pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and anyone with a known medical condition should consult a physician before use. Store cool and dry, and do not use if the safety seal is damaged or missing.

Suitability

Who This Product Is and Is Not For

It may suit you if

You are a healthy adult man with no cardiovascular or psychiatric history, taking no regular medication, who wants an adaptogen-led vitality formula and is comfortable with undisclosed amounts. Set your expectations by the two ingredients with real evidence — ashwagandha and ginseng — and judge it on stress and fatigue over six to eight weeks rather than on anything dramatic.

It will not suit you if

You have high blood pressure, heart disease or an arrhythmia; an anxiety or panic disorder; kidney or liver disease; or a thyroid condition. Or if you take an MAOI, a tricyclic antidepressant, a stimulant, blood-pressure medication or warfarin. Or if you are under 18. In all of those cases the yohimbe is the deciding factor, and the missing amount makes it impossible to reason around.

How Viril Edge Is Sold — by a Reseller, on a Marketplace

The section where most affiliate pages invent something. Here is what the listing actually said when we opened it.

US$39.95 for three bottles, checked 9 Aug 2026

The recorded short link redirects to a live eBay item. On that date it listed at US$39.95 for a three-bottle pack — eBay's per-unit line reads US$13.32 a bottle — with Best Offer enabled, free shipping and free returns. Marketplace prices move, so confirm on the listing rather than trusting a date-stamp on someone else's page.

No struck-through prices, ever

A crossed-out "was" figure has to be a price the seller actually charged. This seller publishes none, so there is no strikethrough and no savings claim. eBay's "save up to 20% when you buy more" is a volume tier, not a reduction from a former price, and we do not dress it up as one.

You are buying from a reseller

Not the brand. Blue Horizon Brands of Salisbury, North Carolina, 99.4% positive across 4,341 ratings. Returns run 30 days with the seller paying return postage. Note that the listing's own ingredients field names just two botanicals where the label declares a six-botanical blend — another reason to read the panel, not the listing.

Before you order from a marketplace listing. Check the seller name, the return window and who pays return shipping, and check the expiry date on arrival. The money-back seal in the product photography is the manufacturer's artwork, not the seller's policy — the policy is whatever the listing page says on the day you buy. For a yohimbe-containing product, also confirm the panel on the bottle matches the panel in the listing photographs before you take anything.

Viril Edge FAQ

Viril Edge — Your Questions Answered

What is in Viril Edge?

One blend, 838 mg per two-capsule serving, holding six botanicals: tribulus terrestris, horny goat weed (Epimedium sagittatum), longjack (Eurycoma longifolia), Panax ginseng, ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) and yohimbe (Pausinystalia yohimbe). The inactive ingredients are silica dioxide, rice flour and magnesium stearate.

Does Viril Edge contain yohimbe?

Yes. Yohimbe extract is the sixth and last item in the blend. Because US labelling rules require blend components to be listed in descending order by weight, last place means it is the smallest share of the 838 mg — but the actual amount is not disclosed, and yohimbine is a pharmacologically active alkaloid rather than a mild botanical. It has its own section on this page, and it is the single most important thing to discuss with a clinician before taking this product.

How much of each ingredient is in it?

Not disclosed. A proprietary blend may publish only the total. 838 mg across six botanicals averages about 140 mg each, which is below the doses used in trials of ginseng (200–400 mg), longjack (200–400 mg) and ashwagandha (300–600 mg). The descending order of the list is the only per-ingredient information you get.

How do you take Viril Edge?

The label's suggested use reads: as a dietary supplement, take 2 capsules daily between meals, or as directed by your healthcare provider. A 60-capsule bottle is 30 servings, so one bottle is one month. The label also says to consume the contents within 60 days of opening the bottle.

Who should not take it?

The label itself says adult use only, and that pregnant or nursing mothers, under-18s and anyone with a known medical condition should consult a physician first. Because of the yohimbe, we would add: anyone with high blood pressure, a heart rhythm problem, an anxiety or panic disorder, kidney or liver disease, or anyone taking an MAOI, a tricyclic antidepressant, a stimulant or blood-pressure medication.

Is Viril Edge a treatment for erectile dysfunction or low testosterone?

No. It is a dietary supplement, not a medicine, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. Erectile difficulty and low testosterone are medical matters with real diagnoses behind them — and erectile difficulty in particular can be an early sign of cardiovascular disease, which is a reason to see a doctor rather than to buy a capsule.

What does "third party tested" on the bottle prove?

That someone outside the company tested something. It does not say who, what was tested for, or what the result was. The meaningful version is a certificate of analysis you can read, ideally naming the laboratory and the batch. None is published for this product.

How much does Viril Edge cost?

On 9 August 2026 the listing was US$39.95 for a three-bottle pack, which eBay's per-unit line puts at US$13.32 a bottle, with Best Offer enabled and free shipping. It is a marketplace listing, so the price can change or the listing can end — confirm it there rather than trusting a date-stamp here. You will find no struck-through "was" price and no savings claim on this page, because the seller publishes no former price.
